The Fall Tag!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to elliemaeblogs! I’ve been lucky enough to have been nominated to do the “Fall Tag” by Livs little blog and Leah does blogs! I haven’t done a blog like this before but I thought I’d try it because it’s something different to what I usually do so I hope you enjoy:)

1) What is one candle you MUST light every fall?

I love so many fall candles so I can’t only pick one…the Christmas cookie yankee candle is a MUST! I also really love the spiced pumpkin one from ‘party lite’ the scent is gorgeous!

2) When you think of fall, what does it remind you of?

I always think of big knitted high socks, oversized warm hoodies, all the different coloured leaves and cosy nights in with fall scented candles!

3) What is your all-time favourite fall/Halloween movie?

HOCUS POCUS!!! I love this film… fall just wouldn’t be the same without it! Me and my mum have watched it every fall for as long as I can remember… sometimes we watch it after fall because we love it that much haha. But if You haven’t watched it you need to!!

4) What Halloween costume do you have in mind?

I don’t have any plans this year.. I think me and a couple friends are just going to order a pizza and watch some scary movies x

5) What is your favourite fall trend?

I love the oversized jumpers and knee length knitted socks trend! (if it’s even a trend? Think it’s just me but I still love it haha)

6) When you think of fall, what drink comes to mind?

A Pumpkin Spice Latte or a ginger bread coffee! They taste pretty similar but I still love them

7) What is your go-to fall beauty product?

The ‘morphe 360 nature glow’ pallets got to be my favourite! It just reminds me so much of fall and it gets me in the fall vibe!

8) Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?

Apple pie as I’m not a big fan of pumpkin pie or it might just be my excellent cooking skills;)

9) Do you have any fall traditions?

I always, alway, ALWAYS have to decorate my house in Halloween decorations or it just not the same! I also put pumpkins outside my house with candles inside them… Another thing I like to do is light a scented candle to get me in the spirit!

10) Is fall your favourite season?

To be honest, I don’t really have a favourite season although fall gets me in the spirit for Christmas and I love the dark, cosy night ins. But yeah I love fall and I’m also really excited for halloween to carve pumpkins and decorate my house!

Hello Autumn!🍂🍂

It’s finally October! My favourite season of the year… partly because I love been cosy and snuggled up with blankets, whilst watching films and sipping warm tea. Also because it’s Halloween! Who doesn’t love halloween?

As the days start getting shorter and the temperatures start to fall, I’m going to share some of my favourite autumn essentials!

As the autumn chills seep in, and winter creeps closer, the cold weather may dehydrate your skin, especially your hands… I really recommend the ‘vanilla chai hand cream’ from the body shop! The heavenly scent of vanilla stays on your hands all day as well as protects and moisturises them!

Many people also get dry, chapped lips in October…again, because of the cold weather, which is really annoying! I recommend the Carmex lip balm! It keeps your lips moisturised for up to 3 hours and it’s quick and easy to apply! Most of the ingredients are natural and organic which is best for your lips! You can buy carmex from your local pharmacy or boots!

One of my favourite parts of autumn is makeup! I LOVE autumn themed makeup, especially eyeshadow because you can be so creative with it and it’s really fun to practice! I recommend the morphe ‘ armed and gorgeous’ eyeshadow pallet, which is autumn themed and it only costs £15! (Also when I get to 100 followers on here, I’ll be doing a ‘second nature’ morphe pallet giveaway which is also autumn themed! If you want to enter, keep an eye out on my instagram and Twitter, where I’m most active!)

The best part of autumn is fluffy socks!! Everyone love fluffy socks! Especially me.. I own like a million pairs of them… you just can’t go wrong with them and there great for gifts too. The best places to get fluffy socks from is primark- they do a big variety of sizes and colours which is amazing and there so soft and fluffy!

The last thing I love about October is gingerbread green tea!!! It’s my absolute favourite thing in the whole wide world! It relaxes you and it warms you up after a cold day! The best thing about it is that it’s caffeine free! This is a good way to end the evening, all snuggled up in bed, toasty and warm whilst watching halloween films! One of my all time favourite halloween films is ‘hocus pocus’ I’ve watched it every October since I was little and I still love it now! October wouldn’t be the same without it!

Thank you for reading my autumn blog! I hope you found it helpful in some shape or form..

Protein Filled, Chocolate Chip-Greek Yogurt Pancakes!

These protein filled chocolate pancakes take only 15-20 minuets to make and they are great for a light, healthy ‘running late to work’ breakfast in only 4 easy steps! It serves up to 12 pancakes depending on how much mixture you use! I love this recipe so much and I hope you do too!

First of all, you need to heat your stove to a medium heat and put some oil in of your choice!

Secondly, mix together 2 cups of flower, 2tbs baking powder, 1/2 tbs baking soda and a pinch of salt

Then in a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of Greek yogurt, 2 large eggs, 3 tbs of honey, 1 tbs of vanilla extract and 2tbs of oil.

After that, mix everything together and it will become a dough. Then gently fold in chocolate chips.

Serve with extra chocolate chips and enjoy!!

How to have a relaxing pampering day at home!

1) start off by tidying, polishing and hoovering your room! As they say, tidy room, tidy mind.. this will help you to feel more organised and calm!

2) wash your bed sheets! You can’t beat the feeling of fresh bed sheets! It makes your room feel 100% cleaner and it’s also good if you have acne because of the bacteria and sweat that builds up on your pillow when you sleep! You should always wash your bed sheets at least once a week!

3) run yourself a bubble bath with your favourite oils and bath bombs! The warm water in the bath will help your muscles relax and let all your worries and cares drift away! Whilst your in the bath, listen to some relaxing music, pour yourself a glass of wine, light some candles and shave your body to feel squeaky clean! Wash your hair and body with your favourite products and relax!

4) steam your face! You can do this easily by simply boiling hot water in a kettle or on a stove and pouring it in to a bowl with your favourite facial oils! Hold your head over the bowl and put a towel over, making sure no heat gets let out! This will clear your pores of dirt and unwanted bacteria and will leave you with glowing skin!

5) apply a soothing face mask! You can either make or buy a face mask from a shop! I recommend making one because it will be more organic and less chemicals which is better for your skin! It also has more natural products! A quick and easy recipe is just to mash some strawberries together, add a few spoonfuls of honey and mix with plain yogurt! Leave for 15 mins and your skin will be glowing!

6) turn your phone off! Yes… I know, it’s hard but it will help you to relax and it’s a good way to switch off from the world! Instead of being on your phone for 10 hours, why not read a book or watch a good old, throwback movie on Netflix! A few oldies I recommend that everyone loves are Angus, thongs and perfect snogging, 13 going on 30, my girl, wild child, and clueless! I hope you enjoy your relaxing pamper day!
